Welcome to the ‘Solinia’ website.
Solinia is a Peruvian non-profit association developing programs for the conservation and protection of animals in the Peruvian amazon basin, more specifically the aquatic mammals. Our association is headquartered in Iquitos, in the Loreto Region of Peru. The RUC (peruvian VAT) is 20541183923.
Recently in 2024, Solinia Belgium (or Solinia.be), a new Belgian non-profit association with Enterprise Nr 1005.413.215 was created in order to help Solinia to find sponsors.
The name Solinia is derived from Sotalia & Inia… with reference to the sun (“sol” in Spanish).
Currently, Solinia works on a number of different projects regarding river dolphins:
Mission and Vision
Our Mission is the conservation and protection of the biodiversity in the Peruvian Amazon Basin, especially the aquatic mammals. Our Vision, as SARDI, is to maintain the river dolphin populations in harmony with human development.

Yo trabajo por las islas muyuy,comunidad san marcos a 45 minutos de tamshiyacu loreto,oriento alos niños y niñas , y pobladorer de mi comunidad y a otras comunidades que viven serca,cuidar y protejer a los delfines rosados,etc,de la zona anterior mente los mataban y les dejaban botados en la playa,cada dia estoy preguntando alos pobladore y pescadores si hay personas que siguen matando a estos defines rosados y grises,
